Artist's Statement

                                         Artist's Statement

For my final post, I will be doing my ARTIST'S STATEMENT! This artist's statement will be about my reflection about this, and to give you people an understanding of my work. Even though there are probably 0 viewers, its an assignment. (Although I did see I had a few views from Russians: Привет народ России!)

MY ARTIST'S STATEMENT:

This project was to simulate earth artist Andy Goldsworthy and his work. Although there isn't a whole heck of a lot to work with here in MA, but we tried, right? :) You might be wondering what Earth Art is. Well, simply put, Earth art is when you make cool art out of natural materials such as wood, stones and plants, that can be destroyed by nature, so it's one long cycle of natural creativity. During my simulation for art class, I tried to replicate cool earth art, it probably didn't come out that way at all, but I tried to make cool shapes and make inceptions and stuff. I built them at our school, MVRMS, at the high school across the street, MMRHS, and at a surrounding garden, Project Sprout. I built a dandelion diamond, a roof full of weeds, and a buttercup inception. You can see these posts if you scroll down.  As these projects progressed, I learned to be a little more quirky, if you catch my drift, and make weirder things. My dandelions weren't very exciting, but the roof thing was a little more creative, and my budderful buddercup (Minecraft reference) inception was awesome! Kind of.. Along the way I encountered many, many, non-important problems including, bugs, SD cards, friends, etc.

Along the way I learned many cool things. I learned that you can do more with nature than you expected, and that nature is full of cool patterns, shapes, and designs. Nature is an amazing thing, that God created in the most amazing way, and art is such a beautiful thing too, so when they combine it is REALLY REALLY COOL! Anyways, thanks for reading and I hope that you will be inspired and try making cool stuff from nature too!
